BOOST is a State Maryland Program, enacted in 2016, to ensure lower-income students could afford the K-12 education best fit for their needs. BOOST provides scholarships to eligible students to enable them to attend a nonpublic school.

The application can be located at:
The BOOST application remain open through June 15th .
Past year participants in the BOOST program will receive an e-mail about renewing their scholarship.  If they are still income eligible, they will receive a scholarship renewal, but they must complete a new application.  Parents will need re-enrollment confirmation, completed application, TADS proof of application and proof of reported household income.
The MSDE hopes to send award notices to parents by the end of July.
Current BOOST students that remain eligible and re-apply will receive the same award amounts as last year.
The FY 18 appropriation for BOOST will have approximately $1 million for new scholarships.
The MSDE has purchased a new online tool for families.  ALL applicant families (even renewals)  will need to create a new user account.  However, for families applying for multiple children, they will only have to complete the household and demographic information once and then there will be options to apply for multiple children within that household on the same application.
