BOOST is a Maryland state program enacted in 2016. It was enacted to ensure that low-resource students can afford the K-12 education that best suits needs. BOOST offers scholarships to eligible students to attend a non-public school.
For more information about BOOST, visit www.educationmaryland.org/BOOST. The application can be found at: marylandpublicschools.org/Pages/boost/index.aspx Last year's participants in the BOOST program will receive an email about renewing their scholarship. If they are still eligible they will receive a scholarship renewal but must complete a new application in any case. Parents will need confirmation of re-enrollment, full application, TADS application receipt, and proof of declared family income. MSDE expects to send scholarship notices to parents in August. Students who received BOOST recourse in this year and who remain eligible for BOOST in the new year will receive the same resource amounts they received in this year.
