We congratulate Mrs. Lauren Wisniewski on receiving the 2018 Archdiocese of Washington Golden Apple Award as Teacher of the Year. On April 25, 2018, Dr. Jem Sullivan, Secretary of Education for the Archdiocese of Washington, awarded and praised Mrs. Lauren Wisniewski for her dedication and expertise as a Special Education Teacher for Catholic Schools.
Mrs. Wisniewski has been the Special Education/ Resource Teacher at Holy Redeemer School for the past five years. She is an integral part of the school’s mission to educate all students who are committed to a Catholic education, no matter their need. Under Mrs. Wisniewski’s leadership, Holy Redeemer School has been awarded over $20,000 in grants for our special education program. She shares her knowledge and best practices in meeting individual student needs with every teacher and meets regularly with parents. Mrs. Wisniewski is also the moderator of our Student Government and sits on the Faculty Council for our St. Joseph’s Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. We are proud and honored to have Mrs. Lauren Wisniewski as our Special Education/ Resource teacher here at Holy Redeemer School, and we appreciate all that she brings to our students, our parents, and our faculty.
