Congratulations to our 14U Varsity Softball team which finished 2nd in the CYO Mid-Atlantic tournament this weekend. After a 5-1 regular season, our Hawks beat St. Elizabeth and Holy Trinity before falling to St. Bernadette in the Championship Game. We are so proud of all their accomplishments this season!
Alyssa Burgos, a Holy Redeemer eighth grade student, earned 1st place at the Prince George’s County Spelling Bee on Friday, March 15, 2019. Alyssa Burgos has been Holy Redeemer School’s reigning champion for three years running, and placed second at last year’s county spelling bee. After 15 very close rounds that began with 26 students, she won the championship with the word “cilia.” Her family and friends are incredibly proud of her great accomplishment, and excited for her next challenge. Alyssa went on to compete in the Scripp’s National Spelling Bee this past May.
