Mrs. Shirley Martins began teaching middle school science and math at Holy Redeemer School in the fall of 2010. Prior to Holy Redeemer, Mrs. Martins taught math in 3 schools, for a total of 18 years with the Archdiocese of Washington. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, and is Maryland State Certified to teach Secondary Chemistry and Middle School Math. Mrs. Martins is presently working on a Master’s Degree. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Martins is co-moderator of the Holy Redeemer School Chess club and Environmental club, and is a member of the faculty council for the National Junior Honor Society. Mrs.Martins is married, and her son Daniel graduated from Holy Redeemer School. She loves music and sings in her church choir.
